Google Chrome has a surprise for us – it creates a generic guest profile and visitors can browse the web. It is a must for everyone who shares the PC or tablet with others. With guest profile, you don’t need to worry your friend will sign you out of Gmail or Facebook or spy on your browsing habits. It is currently available on Chrome OS but slowly being implemented to Chrome for other platforms: Windows, Linux and Macintosh.

To start, copy and paste the line chrome://flags/#enable-new-profile-management in your Chrome address bar. Click the ‘enable’ button by the ‘Enable new profile management system’.
As we can see from the description, a variety of features, like profile sign-out, new avatar menu are included to the new management system.
The new guest profile menu let’s you lock your profile to keep other users from using it.
New profile system
You need to reboot Chrome after enabling the guest profile. If you would click on the new profile system in the drop-down menu you will see an option ‘Browse as guest’. Selecting this option will open a new browser window which will be without any of your personal history, extensions or settings. Your friends can use your computer in peace and you don’t have to worry about that Google search results made by your friends will show up in your Google Now results.
